Maurizio Olivotto was born in Brixen. After graduating from the Art Institute in Urbino, he settled in Florence, where he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. He received two scholarships to the international school of graphic arts "Il Bisonte" and specialized in intaglio printing and lithography.
He worked as an illustrator for publishing houses such as La Nuova Italia, Fatatrac, Treccani, Carthusia, and Castoro, as well as for INAF (National Institute for Astrophysics) in Padua. As a graphic artist and illustrator, he participated in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. He taught printing techniques, illustration, and graphic arts at the Academies of Fine Arts in Macerata and Florence.
